“They were very professional and efficient! Giving 4 stars just because it was priceyyyyyyy”
Most of our local jobs run within Key West and out to Stock Island at Mile Marker 5, where the lanes are narrow, the parking is brutal, and half the historic homes have no driveway at all. Our movers know which one-way streets off Duval and through Bahama Village a 26-foot truck can actually fit down, and where we’ll need to shuttle your things to the box on a dolly instead.
That local knowledge is the whole point. A conch or eyebrow house with a tin roof, tight porch stairs, and a gate built for a golf cart needs a crew that has done it a hundred times, not one learning on your furniture. Salt air gets into everything down here, so we pad and wrap metal, electronics, and finished wood the same careful way every time. Stock Island gives us a little more room to work and easier truck access, which is why a New Town-to-Stock-Island move often runs faster than a short hop across Old Town.
What a local move actually costs
We quote hourly for short in-town moves and a flat band for full-home jobs. Either way the number is written down first, with pads, dollies, shrink wrap, and tools included.
| Home size | Typical flat range |
|---|---|
| Studio | $420–$680 |
| 1-bedroom | $700–$1,150 |
| 2-bedroom | $1,200–$1,950 |
| 3-bedroom | $2,100–$3,300 |
| 4-bed house | $3,000–$4,600 |
Prefer hourly? A 2-mover crew and truck runs $169/hr; a 3-mover crew runs $219/hr. A $149 deposit holds your date and comes off the total.
How we keep the day moving
Before move day, our estimator walks the access at both ends: where the truck can park, how far the carry is, which stairs and gates we’re dealing with. That’s how a written flat price stays flat. On the day, the crew lead you met on the estimate runs the job, so nobody’s improvising with your furniture in a hot, tight stairwell.
- Beds, tables, and standard furniture broken down and reassembled at the new place
- Floor runners and door-jamb protection on both ends
- Truck timed around one-way lanes and peak Duval Street traffic
- A dedicated shuttle plan for homes a full truck can’t reach
What the price doesn’t cover
A flat written quote is honest only if we’re clear about the edges. The number above does not include packing materials and labor (a separate $480-and-up service), specialty items like a piano or gun safe (from $399), or full-value protection above the standard $0.60/lb released-value coverage. Long carries past what we measured, or a second shuttle run because a truck genuinely can’t reach the door, are flagged before move day — never sprung on you at the end.
